Nizam Shajani, CA

My name is Nizam Shajani and I am a Chartered Accountant. I have been fortunate to work in large and medium sized accounting firms – and am now proud to be a partner at Shajani LLP. This firm allows me to bring forth ambition and ideas that will provide the utmost advantage to my clients.

My background and experiences have allowed me to gain the skills of analyzing financial statements and business processes that have proven to be a valuable insight for my clients. I have been involved in many areas of public accounting including audits, reviews and notice to readers for both public and private entities. I have also enjoyed providing consulting and tax planning advisory services.

After completing my bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA) in accounting I gained experience in public company audits while working with one of the big four where I spent the most of my articling time. During this time I completed the Chartered Accounting School of Business modules. I then moved on to a mid-sized accounting firm – while continuing to work with public company audits and branching out to tax, reviews and other engagement. It is hear that I found my passion in accounting as I had the opportunity to work at higher levels. I strive to bring this passion to work with me every day as I enjoy the work I do.

I also believe in giving back to my community. I have been a member of the taxation and finance committee of our local Chamber of Commerce where I am able to provide insight and drafts at the grass roots level for the Chamber’s policies in this area. I have also taken on the role of a facilitator at the Chartered Accountant School of Business where I provide online instructor services to CA students.

My bio would not be complete without mentioning my wonderful wife Zahra, and two kids Shaheena and Rahmaan – all of them bring me joy. When I am not with them, or working, or teaching, or studying – I enjoy playing a round of golf and traveling.
