Shafiq Shajani, CGA

My name is Shafiq Shajani and I am a Certified General Accountant (CGA). As a Partner at Shajani LLP, I continuously foster a client focussed approach to Public Accounting at our firm. At our firm, this means identifying our client’s requirements, understanding client needs & expectations, delivering on client requirements & expectations, and consistently following up, monitoring and updating our advice based on our client’s changing situation. Along with the other partners and staff at Shajani LLP, I share a passion for the Accounting profession and strive to continuously upgrade and update my knowledge through relevant professional development.

My background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Economics at the University of Western Ontario as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Honours Business Administration) with a major in Accounting at the University of Windsor. I was fortunate to complete the academic and professional experience requirements for the CGA designation (Public Practice Focus) while working as a Tax Accountant at a Canadian Oil & Gas Company with a U.S. parent. This opportunity provided me with substantial experience in Canadian Oil & Gas Taxation and understanding the importance of advantageous business structuring. I have also completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course.

I'm privileged to have a loving wife Roseline, and a beautiful daughter Mysha who provide me with balance and happiness.
